Richard C. Hoffman, 85, of Waverly, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 15th, at Elderwood Nursing Facility.  He was born on November 24, 1931, in Waverly, New York.  He was the son of the late Pearl (Shipman) and Paul Hoffman and the loving husband of the late Judith Hoffman for 50 years. Richard was a member of the North Barton Grange for 70 plus years.  He worked for State Line Auto as ground maintenance for many years as well as for the Town of Barton.  He was a lifelong farmer who loved farming and taking care of his land and animals. Richard was predeceased by his wife Judith Hoffman and his brother and sister-in-law Howard and Patricia Hoffman. Surviving Richard are his sons; Michael (Jean) Hoffman, Timothy (Wendy) Hoffman, his three grandchildren Nash Hoffman, Hannah Hoffman, and Ashley Tiffany, and his sister Marie McAfee. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the North Barton Grange from 1-4 P.M. for family and friends.
