Richard Joseph Boltman of Chemung , NY Richard Joseph Boltman, 68, of Chemung passed away Friday, March 9th, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre , PA after a short brave battle with liver cancer. Born May 27th, 1943, in Bronx , NYC the son of the late Rosemary (Wortche) and John J. Boltman. Richard was a 1965 graduate of Manhattan College . Richard was self-employed in sales for many years, most recently as an Avon Sales and Leadership Representative since 1995 where he was honored as a President's Club and Honor Society Member. Known in the Valley as "The Avon Guy". Richard was a loving father and husband. He enjoyed traveling by Amtrak train. He enjoyed traveling, collecting, watching his son race in SCCA and his daughter dance and perform in plays, and he was a NASCAR fan. He was so very proud of his children Aaron John and Miriam Rose Ling. He was a member of the Waverly Senior Citizens and the Twin Tiers Vintage Car Club. Richard enjoyed taking his wife's Mustang to car shows. Richard and Janice enjoyed doing everything together. He is survived by his loving wife Janice (Rothholz) Boltman, at home in Chemung, his son Aaron John Boltman, of Richmond , TX and his daughter and son-in-law Miriam Rose (David) Ling, of Gillett , Pa. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, March 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Luckner Funeral Home, 449 Park Avenue Waverly , NY . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Church Blessed Trinity Parish in Waverly. Internment will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery .
