Reverend Thomas H. Watts of Sayre, Pennsylvania Reverend Thomas H. Watts, 83 of Sayre, Pennsylvania, passed away June 30, 2014 at his home. Born January 31, 1931 in Waverly NY. the son of the late Thomas J. and Flora (Jenkins) Watts. Surviving him are his cousins;  Judy Salotti, Geneva NY, Richard Cornell, Bath NY, Robert Cornell, Albany NY, Doris Dunham, Florida, Irene Hall, Florida and Francis Watts, Rochester NY. Thomas was baptized November  15, 1934 at Saint James Church in Waverly, NY. He attended Lincoln Public School, Waverly Junior High and graduated from Waverly High School, Saint Andrews Prep and Saint Bernard's.  Father received Tonsure June 3, 1954, Minor Orders, September 17, 1955 and September 22, 1955, he received his Sub-Deaconship September 16, 1956 and Deaconship September 22, 1956. He was Ordained  June 15, 1957 at Saint Ann's Church in Hornell, NY.  He served as Assistant  at Saint Mary's , Corning , NY June 25, 1957 Assistant at Saint Rita's West Webster, NY February 14, 1961, Assistant Saint Charles Borromeo, Elmira Heights, NY June 29, 1965, Assistant Saint Patrick's , Mount Morris, NY, Assistant Saint Patrick's, Owego, NY June 25, 1970, Co-Pastor Saint Patrick's, Owego, NY June 27, 1973, Pastor Saint Patrick's, Owego, NY June 30, 1985, Pastor Saint Benedict's, Odessa & Saint Pius X, Van Etten, June 30, 1987 and Pastor Saint James, Waverly & Saint Pius X Van Etten June 27, 1989. Father Tom retired from his home parish,  Saint James, Waverly, NY on June 26, 2001. Father will lie in state on Wednesday July 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with Evening Prayer at 7:00 pm & Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Blessed Trinity Parish Saint James Church,  Clark Street, Waverly NY. Reverend Watts' Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 am with the Most Reverend Salvatore R. Matano presiding. Internment will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Waverly, NY.
