James S. Horton Of  Waverly James S. Horton 66, of Waverly, passed away Monday February 6, 2012 at his home. Born November 18, 1945 in Sayre, PA. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, a sister, and a nephew. James was a life resident of the Valley. He retired from the Toshiba Company in Horseheads, NY. He enjoyed fishing, painting, woodworking, playing cards, boating, camping, Nascar, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Surviving James are his loving wife of forty years Connie Horton, at home, his children; James Horton, Jr. of Waverly and Roxanne (Vern) LaFritz of Chemung, NY., several grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his special sister Pat Schuyler, special brother in law, Dennis Dawson, brother, sisters and special friends Doris Yuhasz, Doris Bostwick and Audrey LaFritz, as well as many more special friends. The family extends a special thanks to Southern Tier Hospice, Dr. Waheed, Dr. Povanda and Jennifer Mullin for the wonderful care given to James'.
