Francis Robinsonof WaverlyFrancis Robinson, 88, of Waverly passed away Sunday May 24, 2015 at his home. Born May 31, 1926 in  New Albany, PA., the son of the late Mildred Sullivan and Harold  Robinson. Francis was also predeceased by his first wife Madalyn  Creighton, his beloved granddaughter Joelle, his brothers; Donald  and Gordon, his sisters, Phyllis and Beverly, and his step son Jared.  Francis entered the U.S. Navy after graduating high school, he  served during World War II.  He worked for the United States Postal Service for 44 years, Joe's Marine for 16 years and State  Line Auto for 23 years retiring as a trip leader at the age of  83. He is a lifetime member of the Candor American Legion and V.F.W. as well as Skiff Bower Post #1536. Surviving Francis are his loving wife of 22 years, Darla (Crockett) Robinson, at home, his children; James Robinson,  Snowcamp, NC, John Robinson, Barton, NY, JoAnn Pipher,  Fayetteville, NC, and Joseph (Debbie) Robinson, Barton, NY. his  stepchildren; Joshua (Shanna) Niemi, Waverly, NY, Kristi (Andy)  Williams, Van Etten, NY. Also his sister Tammy Parker, Owego, NY Sister in law, Jean Robinson,  Athens, PA, Brother in law, John McAfee, Athens, PA,  Brother in  law Robert Tennant, Owego, NY, sisters in law, Loretta Moses, > Corning, NY and Ida Medel, Texas, Susan Robinson, Florida,  his  mother in law Ella Crockett, Waverly, NY, as well as 12  grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews,  and cousins. A Memorial Gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life  will be held Thursday May 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the North Barton Grange.
