Dorothy M. Woodcock Of Waverly Dorothy M. Woodcock, of Waverly passed away, Friday August 15th, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital.  Born January 2, 1927 in Cortland, NY the daughter of the late Bessie (Elder) and Herbert Stauffer. She was also predeceased by her brother Earl Stauffer.Dorothy is survived by her sister Florence (Cindy) Stevens, of S. Waverly, PA. Dorothy was a longtime resident of the Valley. She retired from the Sayre Evening Times where she worked as the circulation manager for nearly two decades Dorothy was a Girl Scout leader for many years, she loved knitting, planting flowers and gardening, card playing, camping at the lake and spoiling her grandchildren. Surviving her are her loving husband of seventy years Donald Woodcock, at home, her daughters: Linda (Keith) Wintenburg, of Spartanburg, SC, Donanna (Doni) Sloat, of Sayre, PA. , her grandchildren; Keith(Chip) (Ann Marie) Wintenburg, Jeffrey Sloat, and Kathryn Sloat, great grandchildren; Jonathan and Christopher Wintenburg, and Lucas Sloat. She is also survived by her special nieces and nephews; Roxanne(John) Stevens-Testen, Dorothy Stevens, Cindy Stevens, and Richard (Steve) (Laurie) Stevens , and great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Waverly. Internment will be at Smithboro Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
