Obituary

Clarence C. Pennay, of Waverly, NY passed away Tuesday October 26th, 2010 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Clarence was born in Bradford County, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1933, one of seven children, four brothers and three sisters, the son of the Late Doris Warner and Cecil Pennay. Clarence was a lifelong resident of the Valley. He was a US Army Veteran serving as a Corporal during the Korean War. He was a member of the Skiff- Bower VFW Post, and a member of the Owego Moose Lodge. He loved playing guitar with different country bands in and around the valley for several years. Clarence worked as a Laboratory Technician for Ingersoll Rand Corporation for many years. Surviving Clarence is his loving wife, H. Sue (McKinnie) Pennay at home, his son Chris (Kay) Pennay, of Waverly, his daughter, Donna (Ed) Davis, of Laceyville, PA. step daughter, Beverly Shiell, of Liston, Idaho. Also surviving Clarence are his brother Harold Pennay and his sisters Clara Hallstead, and Millie Goodwin. Clarence is also survived by 25 grand and great grand children, as well as several nieces nephews, and cousins. At Clarence's request there will be a gathering to celebrate his life Saturday October 30, 2010 at the family home 367 River Road Waverly, NY, at 2:00p.m. Arrangements are with the Luckner Funeral Home 449 Park Avenue Waverly, NY.
