Beatrice Carolyn Roberts Of Sayre Beatrice Carolyn Roberts, 86,  of Sayre, passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa surrounded by her loving family. Born July 14, 1925 in Culver, PA the daughter of the late Sodonia (Elinski) and Wayne B. Talada, and loving wife of the late Charles F. Roberts. Beatrice was also predeceased by her sisters Ina Dildine, Virginia Holbert ,her brother James Talada, her step father Albert T. Holbert, a special uncle James Talada, and an infant daughter.  Her granddaughter Christine Hurd also predeceased Beatrice. Beatrice was a lifelong resident of the Valley. She graduated from Athens High School in 1943. She joined the Athens Baptist Church was baptized there and later taught Sunday School for the 7 & 8 year old girls. She was later a member of the Emory Chapel. Beatrice loved many things, her computer , Tioga Downs, Shopping, gardening and canning and researching the family history. Her greatest passion was her family. Surviving her are her two sons, Charles W. (Robin) Roberts of Sayre, Michael D. Roberts of Williamsport, four daughters, Kathy Bennett, Ulster, Nancy (Ron) Moore, Duncannon, PA. Carolyn Hurd, Waverly and Sharon Pond of Tioga Center, NY.  She is also survived by  special grandson Micheal D.  Roberts Jr. and her 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, her three brothers Ollie Francis Talada, Nester T. (Betty) Holbert and Albert (Phyllis) Holbert, two sisters, Alberta (Ron) Wolcott and Pat (Earl) Walker and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Also sisters in law Arlene Talada and Barbara Talada. Beatrice had many special friends that she leaves behind as well Pastor Gary (Marguerite) Culver, Jeff and Vivian Bisher, John Vargason, Tracey Walker, her lunch date Gloria Morningstar and the entire congregation at Emory Chapel. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday Evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Luckner Funeral Home 449 Park Avenue Waverly NY. Funeral services will be Friday July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Culver officiating. Internment will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery.
