Arthur L. Bonning Jr. 82 of Waverly passed away Monday September 13 ^th 2010 at his home with his family by his side.

Born July 1 ^st , 1928 in Sayre, PA. the son of the Late Margaret (Weaver) and Arthur L. Bonning, Sr. and husband of the Late Betty (Comfort) Bonning

Arthur was a lifelong resident of the Valley. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked for many years as a Produce Manager for the Grand Union Company.

Surviving Arthur are his children: sons Steve (Julie) Bonning, of Baltimore, MD, Mike (Jane) Bonning, of Wellsburg, PA. Marty Bonning, Kevin Bonning, both of Waverly, and Patrick (Bernadette) Bonning of Colorado Springs, CO. his daughters, Rita Jo (Jim) Murphy of Rochester, NY and Lisa (Thomas) Gibbons, of Constantia, NY. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren as well as numerous cousins.The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Hospice for the wonderful care given to Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday September at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish Saint James Church in Waverly NY. Family and Friends are invited to Call Thursday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Luckner Funeral Home 449 Park Avenue Waverly. Internment will be in St James Cemetery.
