Of Waverly

Arthur W. Ammerman, 91, of Waverly, passed away Friday August 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Born June 30, 1926 in Sayre, PA. the son of the late Sarah (Searfoss) and Leonard Ammerman, loving husband of the late Erma Mae Ammerman and father of the Late Larry Ammerman. Arthur was a lifelong resident of the Valley, he was a very proud Veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Corporal during World War II. He married the love of his life Erma Mae (Wells) Ammerman on September 29, 1944. Arthur retired from The Ammeramn Electric Company of Waverly,  that he founded and owned for many years. He was a loving husband, father, and Grandfather, who will be deeply missed. Surviving him are his daughter and son in law, Dianne (Charles) Annabel, of Waverly, his grandchildren; Mark (Beth) Annabel, Lockwood, NY. Charles (Annette) Annabel, Beaver Meadows, PA., great granddaughters; Marissa, Jade, and Catherine. Also surviving him are his brothers; Harold (Priscilla) Ammermaan, Donnie (Loretta) Ammerman all of Litchfield, PA. , and Bobbie (Doris) Ammerman, of Vestal as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins and a special niece, Susan Vanderpool, of Waverly and his loyal companion "Babes". The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Janet Seeley, Laurie Tompkins, and Tina Park for their help.  At Arthur's request funeral services will be private.
